About the organization

Built for citizens who want to stay informed and engaged

Concerned Citizens of Pottawattamie County exists to support civic awareness, promote accountability, and help residents respond to local issues in a practical and organized way.

Our mission

We work to keep county residents informed, encourage constructive public participation, and advocate for open, responsible local decision-making.

Our goal is not noise for its own sake. Our goal is to make it easier for people to understand what is happening, why it matters, and how they can take meaningful action.

What guides our work

  • Respect for local families, farms, and communities
  • Transparency in public decisions and public spending
  • Constructive civic engagement
  • Long-term stewardship of community resources

Why we organized

Residents deserve a clear, trusted place to learn about county issues, share concerns, and coordinate around matters that directly affect daily life in Pottawattamie County.

CCPC Iowa provides that starting point by helping citizens connect information with action.

Who this is for

This organization is for residents who care about how local decisions affect homes, land, water, roads, neighborhoods, taxes, and the long-term direction of the county.

Whether you live in town or in a rural part of the county, your voice matters.
